This book is a good supplement to other PMP study materials. It’s focus is to teach you about the questions on the exam and to give you lots of practice. His questions come closest to the difficulty on the exam itself (in general, practice questions by other authors are too easy). For each process section, there is a pretest, a study guide (with pointers to the PMBOK sections), and a post-test. The reasoning behind the answers is given, and then there is a full exam. I got a 90% on his test and an 80% on the exam using this as the last step in my studying.

Very well formatted book. This is not a big fat book explaining everything however pick this book up after you have read the PMBOK and it will help tremendously. It gives practical advise on the importance given to each process in the exam and the pre-text and post text questions help you understand where you stand and tell you exactly what to focus/improve on.

If you are preparing for the CAPM exam, then this book is not for you. The CAPM *ONLY* covers the material in the PMBOK 3rd edition. This book covers other theories, definitions, and math equations. You will waste your time studying some of the material here and not cover the PMBOK material enough. I recommend to read the PMBOK 2 or 3 times and also buy the Q&A’s for the PMBOK 3rd edtion. Perhaps the PMP test is different.
