The software provided many good features that helped me pass. The rationale behind the correct answer was helpful and through. The small features seemed to make all the difference in my study sessions.

It definitely gave me an edge im my study by practicing in this manner over and over. I had a decent amount of experience going in, but that will only give you a slight edge. The format is about the same as on the real exam, the questions are a little more difficult then on the real exam. The explanation of the answers are outstanding and give great insight in the material. Don’t spend a little fortune on all sorts of practice exams, like I did, this book is the best and is enough.

The sky’s the limit if your in IT security today, with all thats going on and the future looks promising.

One of the hardest things to do when preparing for this exam is to choose the right study material. I literally spent weeks looking for something that would not bog me down or confuse me with useless and extraneous information.

It is absolutely essential that you prepare correctly before the test. Using as many materials and prep programs, practicing as many problems as possible. Get yourself familiar with the type and style of the questions and sharpen your skills in answering them. This prepared me for the style of questions on the actual exam which can be overwhelming or in some cases deceptive.

This exam is particularly tricky as there are many questions where 2 or more answers may seem correct. My advice would be to practice, practice & practice as many questions as possible. If your like many of us out here, this certification can definitely help you get a job if you have a auditing or IT education background. Another tricky thing about the actual exam is the scaled scoring system which ISACA uses. This program is adjusted to score on ISACA requirements so that helped me become familiar with how much right questions counted for and keeping track of my progress throughout the test.

I passed by a comfortable enough margin, the test itself was very long and frustrating at time with many questions and I wasn’t sure that I passed it. Several weeks later the results arrived and I did very well. This program was a huge help.

Take off a few days before the test and study harder. I know people who took time off before the test on a vacation and no wonder they failed the test. I cant set your priorities but if you want to pass, ready to put in the hard work. I studied during lunch time, time offs, and whenever possible. Take these tests as many times as possible. The tests help you to reiterate what you already know, help with your speed, enhances your confidence and also help you to get a better understanding what you dont know.

I did not use the 2009 Review Manual as it’s just too many “old stories” inside. that’s why I just used the study guide.

this year I’m going for CISM/CISSP, after that, I think that’s all for the paper collection.
