The content is very good as their books, which I appreciate. But, the funcion of the software is not well designed. All I want to do is to mark the questions I could not answear correctly, write some memos, and then retreive them later to review. But, I simply can not figure out how to do that. It seems they make it so complicated by making two different moods, Study Mood and Exam Mood, where I should save dirrent files for each. And, even in the same mood, I still have to manipulates different files to keep my records. I read their help files, only to be even more perplexed and frustrated. I am printing out all the questions I practiced, because otherwise I might not be able to retrieve them forever. My work PC already runs SQL Server in some custom configuration, so installing Wiley's application there was out of question. Too bad, it did not work on my home PC (XP SP3) either. Tech support suspected some problem with communication to SQL Server, but they did not manage to figure out what was wrong. I purchased version 13.0 and used it to study for BEC (which I passed...so it definitely helped) but since then I bought a Mac computer, and also bought the full set of Roger Phillips study materials, which also include this software (version 14.0). I inquired with Wiley about how to install the practice exam software on my Mac and they replied that none of their software is Mac compatible and that they were "sorry for any inconvenience" that caused me. I proceeded to reply saying that in 2009 it's ridiculous to not have Mac compatible software and that this was more than a minor inconvenience for me. Their second reply was to explain that since the majority of CPA's use PC's, they only make a product for PC's....terrible excuse and explanation in my opinion.
